Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
We are looking to establish how many Scottish schools have an up to date inspection report that can be accessed via the Education Scotland website.
To this end could you please tell me:
Request 1: How many primary, secondary and special schools are listed on the “inspection reports” section of the Education Scotland website.
Request 2: How many of these primary, secondary and special schools have an up to date inspection report that can be accessed via the site because the latest inspection is no more than five years old.
Education Scotland’s practice is to publish school inspection reports on its website upon completion of the inspection. Education Scotland removes inspection reports from its public facing website after five years. These reports are retained and can be accessed by requesting a copy from Education Scotland.
Request 1 – In response to how many primary, secondary and special schools are listed on the “inspection reports” section of the Education Scotland website:
Request 2 – In response to how many of these primary, secondary and special schools have an up to date inspection report that can be accessed via the site because the latest inspection is no more than five years old:
Notes
There are some schools that have reports that are both visible and older than five years. This is due to the timing of archiving reports from the web site.
Inspection reports on our website also include further inspection reports.
I hope you find this information helpful.
