The 2023 Oregon Legislature updated high school diploma requirements, beginning with the class of 2027. Students must earn a half credit in personal financial education and a half credit in higher education and career path skills as part of the 24 credits required.
The Oregon Department of Education has created an overview of the new diploma requirements. This school year, ODE is developing course standards and working with the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission to set licensure requirements.
